Our fresh sawn Oak is obtained from sustainable resourses, ends are sealed with paraffin wax to slow the drying process to minimise end splits and no further treatment takes place Oak (Quercus Cerris) general purpose, a lower grade of Oak used for Landscape Sleepers, agricultural buildings, garden structures, etc. Lighter coloured in appearance and has a tendency to grow a more twisted grain. Durable and easy to work when fresh sawn. Our fresh sawn Oak is obtained from sustainable resources, ends are sealed with paraffin wax to slow the drying process to minimise end splits and no further treatment takes place.
